Boon Island can be seen from almost anywhere along the shore of Southern Maine. Since 1799 the Boon Island lighthouse has warned sailors of the rocky coast and is the basis of many stories. The lighthouse and structures surrounding it have been destroyed many times due to massive storms resulting in the lighthouse being made automated since 1978.
The design of this T-shirt was inspired by a T-shirt worn by lobstermen in the 80s. Instead of going to college a lot of Southern Maine residents became fishermen or lobstermen. Therefore they felt as though they went to Boon Island Tech.
Artwork for this shirt done by Ginny Skelley.
A portion of the profits made off this shirt will be donated to the Maine Lobstermens Association.
